  1. Good lesson. Well explained. With earning though,, to get the price movement you have to hold until earnings release which means IV drop right after which can really hurt. Many traders only stay in for the rise in IV leading up and exit before release.

  2. for short straddle/strangle why enter at high iv.
    doesn't high iv mean the stock can make wild swings
    but for short straddle/strangle you want the spot to be in range ?

  3. @00:49 Because they are naked, they work better in low volatility case. In high volatility case it better to switch to covered positions (Iron Condor)
